Congratulations! You have decided to be vegan!! :)
We are a realistic family of picky (14-year) modern vegans who enjoy burgers, hot dogs, ribs, doughnuts, and bbq's, etc! We had the opportunity to try most everything and are just happy to see you succeed- for the animals' sake (and your health)!
We know when you crave something, you can't fight it! Its OK! You can't change your palate or cravings overnight! Food can be just as addicting as a drug!

How to Stay Dedicated~ Remember! Print Free Quick-Guide Below
Rule #1: You can return anything back to the grocery store even after you've opened it and tasted it. (not during the corona virus)
For the animals:: You are saving 100 animals each year!!
For your body:: Google Omnivore vs. Herbivore vs. Carnivore ... you will see scientific charts indicating our bodies are not designed to process meat! A carnivore's intestines are shorter, and stomach acidity is higher so they expel the flesh before it rots...they are designed to eat meat. You can feed a tiger vegetables his whole life, but his life span will not be as long or good because he is not designed to process only vegan. Our canine teeth have nothing to do with digestion. If you put a steak on a counter, it will rot quickly. Now put it in a hotter environment inside your stomach for a longer time...instead of cell regeneration while you sleep, your body is working on cleanup of the rot.
Diseases are Expensive!:: Osteoporosis (removal of calcium from bones for digestion) happens to human meat eaters, and many other diseases like increase in stomach acid, heart disease (#1 killer), arthritis, kidney disease, cancer is "directly related to eating meat" according to health officials...and many more!
Remember:: There is research to support every perspective. Remember our body has not evolved according to scientific charts.
Vegan substitutes are not worse than meat! Rather lower in cholesterol, fat, and the reactions described above.
However, I would caution to not rely heavily on soy. This is debatable, but in addition to my research, I prefer "everything in moderation (if its good for you)". Many meat substitutes are soy based, so get your milk, yogurt, etc. without soy (rice, or almond or coconut-fortified preferred), and don't worry about the "meats" being soy- for a nice balance.
FYI most all vegan milk is fortified with the same vitamins as regular milk! Rice milk tastes the closest to skim milk.
You can eat at 99% of restaurants! Just ask what you can get that is vegan (they will explain the menu) or tell them what you would like (be creative!). If they seem reluctant, mention you have an allergy to milk and eggs ... they will get as serious as you are, and chefs have told me they love the interest in their day!
Don't be afraid to ask to change an entire menu item! This is very common for most restaurants (food allergies).
Example: Taco Bell Supreme Taco=ask for beans instead of meat, no cheese, guacamole instead of sour cream (no extra charge for any!) Restaurants: Just ask them to make it vegan, they will usually come up with ideas...and refresh their memory (no butter, eggs, milk, cheese, sour cream).
We know when you crave something, you can't fight it! Its OK! You can't change your palate or cravings overnight! Food can be just as addicting as a drug!
- Our goals are to help people find the closest tasting substitutes with no effort, and to avoid wasting hard earned money on bad tasting food ultimately giving up on going vegan because its "too hard" or "too expensive" or "tastes like rubber" or "tastes gross" (there are many bad substitutes out there!)
- Show there is a good amount of protein and is not more expensive than meat, and brands that are found in most any grocery store (not specialty health food stores where possible) and popular restaurants!
- We will update this site when new/better products arrive
- Vegan Candy, restaurants, and Entertainment also listed below!
- NO Cooking Required!!
- NO company has paid us to list any items or create this brochure.

*****Note: We have only encountered 2 places with nothing for us in 9 years (just get up and go somewhere else!), and a handful of bad meals (only salad) - just ask for what you want! Chefs have told me they enjoy coming out and conjuring up something special...it adds interest to their day! They love it!
